Notes:

Classes 204 & 205 – Ingredients for Polishes and Creams are required

Class 402 – Address used on label does not need to be representative of the exhibitor. The venue location can be used as an alternative

Classes 501-507 – Recipe for the confectionary classes is to include the value of each ingredient and a basic method of baking/cooking such as order of combining ingredients with method and time of cooking/baking. Temperatures need not be provided. (Some things get to remain a secret).

Classes 506 & 507 – Both jam and chutney will contain sugar, although a jam would be much sweeter, with the chutney having a more acidic, tangy flavour from the addition of vinegar. To preserve a chutney a combination of vinegar and sugar are used, whilst in jam it is the sugar alone which acts as the preserving agent.
