We are an enthusiastic group of beekeepers numbering over 100 Registered, Country, Associate and Junior members and now in our 105th year. We are affiliated to Hampshire Beekeepers’ Association (HBA) and the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA).

In spring and summer we have apiary meetings at different locations; and we hold indoor meetings in autumn and winter in Catisfield Memorial Hall, 22 Catisfield Lane, Fareham, Hampshire, PO15 5NN. We invite guest speakers on bee related topics to many of our indoor meetings.

We run a training and educational apiary at Manor Farm, Bursledon, where we have held a Bees and Honey weekend in July for the last few years, which has been a fantastic weekend for us and the general public.

We openly welcome and encourage ‘newcomers’ to join us. An Informal Mentoring Programme is in place for those who would like the support of one of our more experienced beekeepers.

We are more than happy to invite members of the public who may have a fear of bees, or people who really would like to know a little more about bees and beekeeping, to one of our summer apiary meetings. We will of course loan you a bee suit and gloves. If you wish to know more please email us or look at the Membership page. Please also visit the Education page if you are interested in taking up beekeeping.

The association has an apiary site at Titchfield, Fareham.
